Now, let me tell you somethin’ ’bout this thing they call “wheel astrology.” I ain’t no scholar, but I can tell you this much—it’s got to do with them stars up in the sky and how they move around. You see, there’s this big ol’ circle up there, and it’s called the Zodiac Wheel. Some folks call it a “birth chart” or somethin’ fancy like that, but I just think of it as a big ol’ wheel that tells ya what’s goin’ on in your life by lookin’ at where them stars are at.
The thing is, the wheel’s all about the Sun and how it moves around the sky. Now, I know the Sun don’t move in no straight line, no sir. It takes a real round-about route ’round the Earth, so we call that path the “ecliptic.” And as the Sun moves, it goes through different sections of the sky, which we call Zodiac signs. There’s 12 of ‘em, each one takin’ up 30 degrees on the wheel, makin’ a full 360 degrees. I reckon it’s like a big ol’ pie, cut up into 12 pieces, and each piece has a sign in it like Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and all them others.
